Several material properties are important to ensure that the use of rotary diamond instruments "runs smoothly" : Among other things, the type, density and anchoring of the diamond grains influence the sharpness and longevity. Diamond instruments from MEISINGER are set with natural diamonds and therefore have sharper edges and greater impact resistance than synthetic alternatives. The ensures a higher cutting performance over a long service life. However, it is not only the grit type, but also the density of the individual grits that influences how well an instrument removes the tooth substance. With MEISINGER instruments, 50 to 70 per cent of the grit surface is enclosed, which prevents the grains from breaking off. This guarantees extremely homogeneous, safe and long-lasting diamondisation and therefore optimum work results with high quality and ease of cutting.
It's the processing that counts
In order to work economically, material consumption in a practice should be kept as low as possible. This applies in particular to tools used on a daily basis, such as diamond instruments. Even molar preparation or the separation of bridges and crowns are applications in which the instruments reach the limit of their life expectancy during their first use. The wear of an instrument is influenced by both the breaking strength and the embedding of the diamond grains. With a natural grain, as is the case with diamond instruments from MEISINGER, grain breakage is less frequent than with synthetic grains of lower quality. The more firmly a grit is anchored in the underlying embedding layer, the less wear of the diamond surface occurs. As a result, users benefit from consistent and long-lasting performance.
Classics and innovations
The MEISINGER product portfolio includes a wide range of diamond instruments in different shapes, grits and sizes. In addition to all common treatments such as cavity and crown stump preparation, the product range also includes a number of special instruments and innovations. For example, the Occlusal Reduction Diamonds allow precise occlusal reductions to be carried out. Thanks to their angled depth stop , they enable precisely defined removal and are therefore particularly suitable for the preparation of ceramic crowns. The conical Occlusal Reduction Diamonds also have an 8° cone and are therefore ideal for the preparation of veneers, inlays and onlays, while the vertical orientation ensures good access to fissures and pits. Due to their different depths, they can be adapted to different restorative materials.
MEISINGER has developed the CF diamond for easier preparation of anterior teeth. This has a unique diamond coating with two different grit sizes. The tip of the instrument has a fine grit, while the conical area of the working part has a coarse diamond grit. A perfect preparation margin can be defined with the finely coated tip, while the conical part of the instrument ensures targeted material removal to the incisal edge of the tooth without having to change the instrument.

The Endo Access Bur Kit contains a compilation of all MEISINGER Endo Access Burs. The root canal burs included in the kit allow the user to easily and safely open and widen the root canal opening for ideal, straight-line access to the root canal. Unlike standard drills, the specialised instruments provide an excellent view of the working field thanks to their particularly long and narrow necks. Despite their filigree design, the Endo Access burs have a solid material thickness and running accuracy combined with very high cutting performance. In addition, thanks to their special design, no heat spots form during use and there is less dust generation than when using ultrasonic tips, for example. Depth markings on the neck and an easily understandable colour code, which makes it easy to identify the right size, are also particularly user-friendly.
The Comprehensive Access Kit offers a selection of carefully selected diamond and carbide burs, which are necessary for a safe and predictable root canal opening. This kit provides the practitioner with all the necessary instruments to create straight access to the root canal through various materials such as zirconium oxide, metal-ceramic and enamel.
The wide range of products from MEISINGER also offers a selection of other special instruments for endodontics. The portfolio includes Hedstroem files with long handles, stainless Gates root canal expanders as well as Peeso and Beutelrock drills. In the range of diamond instruments, the 802KG diamond bur, for example, enables particularly gentle treatment in the cervical area thanks to its non-diamond tip. The round diamond 801L also has an extra-long neck and therefore offers optimum support during endodontic treatments.

The pin design from the Master Pin Control System was developed in collaboration with Dr Istvan Urban with the aim of securely fixing membranes to the cortical bone. A particular challenge for the pin is that it must be able to withstand high loads and not bend or break, especially when inserted into the cortical bone. The titanium pins are characterised by their stable connection of head and shaft as well as a very sharp tip. This means that the practitioner does not have to worry about the pin bending or breaking during fixation and can position it precisely on the bone. The pins can therefore be inserted securely into the bone even at steep insertion angles. Another unique feature is the circumferential groove on the pin shaft. This increases the surface area and ensures a secure hold and stability. Thanks to a special head design, the pin can also be safely removed after healing with a screwdriver without damaging the tissue.
The pins are available in sets of 10, 50 or 100. The complete Master-Pin Control System includes additional instruments that support the practitioner in successfully placing the pins and fixing the membrane. A screwdriver and pin holder designed to match the pins also facilitate removal from the set and release of the pins after the healing phase.
Targeted bone augmentation with collagen and PTFE membranes
The Vitala® and CytoplastTM membranes have unique material properties that meet the individual requirements of the chosen treatment method. If resorbable membranes are required for therapy, MEISINGER offers the right solution with Vitala®-Collagen and CytoplastTM RTM. With the Vitala® membranes made of bovine material , the practitioner benefits from a particularly supple and thin, but tear-resistant 3 layered structure. When the membrane is hydrated, its shape changes and becomes flexible. In this way, it adapts optimally to the defect. Meanwhile, CytoplastTM RTM membranes offer the perfect combination of flexibility and stability. The material made from bovine Achilles tendon adapts to different shapes without collapsing into the defect. The collagen membranes are ideal for use in the sausage technique, among other things.
The CytoplastTM TXT membranes made of high-density PTFE with a pore size of less than 0.3 μm can be used for socket preservation, horizontal and vertical augmentations and large bony defects. The membrane is completely impermeable to bacteria, making it suitable for exposed use. Primary wound closure is therefore not absolutely necessary for socket preservation, for example. The special surface with hexagonal indentations also ensures better cell adhesion and particularly high stability. This maximises the predictability of the results. The special surface structure also prevents soft tissue from growing into the membrane, so that removal of the non-absorbable membrane can be minimally invasive.
The PTFE membranes are also available in a titanium-reinforced version. These are characterised by particularly high dimensional stability and can be used for a wide range of different defects thanks to the large selection of different shapes.
Cytoplast™ Reinforced PTFE Meshes are also a speciality. Thanks to their circular macroporous surface design, the meshes enable direct contact between the bone graft and the periosteum. This promotes natural revascularisation and infiltration of the cells for successful bone regeneration.

The most important prerequisite for an optimal implant restoration is successful osseointegration. In addition to individual bone properties, the selected implant surface also has a significant influence on how well an implant heals into the bone. For increased patient satisfaction, healing of the implant should also take place as quickly and painlessly as possible.
ROX-CERA implants combine the properties of ceramic with the high fracture resistance of titanium. The implants developed by DENTAL RATIO are made of titanium at the core and have a biologically highly compatible ceramic corrosion protection layer made of titanium zirconium oxide. This has a higher biocompatibility index compared to titanium and is specially adapted to the different biological and mechanical requirements of the endosteal and transgingival areas. The oxides of zirconium are also much more thermodynamically and biochemically stable than those of titanium and therefore avoid fretting corrosion, which supports long-term stable osseointegration. The titanium core is made of titanium grade 5 ELI and is therefore 30% stronger than titanium grade 4. Another special feature of the ROX- CERA implants is the light gold transgingival part of the implant. This is coated with a very smooth and hard titanium niobium oxynitride ceramic surface.
DENTAL RATIO bases the development of its products on proven, patent-free systems and develops them further. The design of the implants comes extremely close to the originals in terms of success rates and, not least, the product guarantee. ROX- CERA implants can also be used with reduced diameter due to their special fracture and fatigue strength. They are therefore very well suited as bridge abutments or for restorations in the aesthetic zone and are particularly suitable for patients with a horizontally limited bone supply. Thanks to its special design, the implant system can therefore be used in patients who wish to avoid an invasive procedure as part of bone augmentation. The implant is also well tolerated by patients who have developed titanium sensitivity in later years.
The ROX-CERA implants are available as Tissue Level and Bone Level with Ø 3.3 / Ø 4.1 mm in the lengths 8, 10 and 12 mm.

Minimalinvasive Implantat-Versorgung

Precise tooth root extraction
Tooth extraction is one of the most common dental surgical procedures for which forceps and levers are usually used. Benex®-Control, developed in collaboration with Dr Benno Syfrig, offers a minimally invasive alternative. Thanks to its ingenious design, tooth roots and tooth root fragments can be removed using the principle of a pulley block without damaging the bone or the surrounding soft tissue. The reason for this is that (in contrast to the use of forceps and levers) no stress is exerted on the lateral bone walls. The atraumatic vertical extraction method therefore offers very good conditions for subsequent implant placement. For optimum vertical force transmission, the Benex®- Control also includes a quadrant support. This ensures that the extractor lies flat and the tooth root can be removed straight. It also protects the existing residual dentition and provides a stable support for the extractor, particularly in edentulous situations.
Controlled bone spreading and condensing
Split-Control is a proven system for gentle widening of the alveolar ridge in horizontal bone deficits. In order to optimally prepare the bone for implant placement , the practitioner has several systems with a range of different screw-shaped spreaders at their disposal. The spreaders can be used to control and gently expand horizontally resorbed bone (bone spreading). Due to their special geometry, cancellous bone is also compacted (bone condensing), which increases the primary stability of the inserted implants. The smallest spreader has a diameter of 2.7 millimetres to ensure a systematic procedure even in extremely narrow jaw areas. The systems also include spreaders with diameters of 2.9 mm, 3.1 mm, 3.3 mm, 3.5 mm, 4.0 mm and 5.0 mm.
The Bone Management® portfolio offers practitioners a choice of different versions of the split control system. The included spreaders each have a working part length of twelve (Split-Control 12 mm) or 15 mm (Split-Control 15 mm). The "Professional" version also includes additional spreaders with a length of 10 and 11 mm. The "Split-Control Plus" also includes an even more comprehensive set of instruments consisting of helical spreaders and horizontal spreaders, which allow controlled and uniform spreading of horizontally resorbed bone. Split-Control, like all Meisinger Bone Management® systems, can be combined with all implant systems on the market and has been specially developed to optimise the preparation of the bone bed .
